EMERGENCY FOOD PROVIDER

Definition of an Emergency Food Provider

Food Pantries, soup kitchens, and other organizations that provide food to low income individuals are known as emergency food providers. As a backbone of the institutionalized emergency feeding system, emergency food providers are responsible for preventing the food insecure from going without any food at all. Needless to say, their role is absolutely critical as they are often a person’s last defence against hunger.
